I took a long hard look to find the best small blender for smoothies these days. I examined as many as I could in order to zero in on the best value for money out there.

1) Tribest Single Serving Blender

Tribest Personal BlenderThe Tribest single serving blender came top of the models I would recommend. Its a fairly powerful blending machine that has a very small counter top footprint. But, that’s just the beginning of the many benefits you’ll enjoy once you own this nifty little device.

Most people don’t equate blending with grinding. This machine does both beautifully though. There are limitations however. This personal blender isn’t going to be your typical party blender. It comes with two 16-ounce cups and two eight-ounce cups in addition to one blade for blending and one blade for grinding.

But, for personal blending and grinding it’s hard to beat this machine for power, counter space and easy cleanup.

Whether you need one of the best small blenders to whip up your favorite frozen coffee drink, want a little after work relaxation, the best small blender for smoothies, or a simple device that can grind coffee and/or crush ice, this baby has what you need.

The 200-watt motor is quiet and the device is simple to operate. One note to remember though is that the pieces and parts of this unit are not dishwasher safe so you will need to hand wash all components. For some people this is a huge inconvenience.

For the most part, however, the overall satisfaction with the unit makes washing by hand a small nuisance rather than a major roadblock… Read Full Tribest single serving blender Review

2) Hamilton Beach Single Serve blender

Hamilton Beach Personal BlenderBlending your ingredients and the cleaning is much simpler with a small blender (or single serving blender). And you won’t need to waste counter space as they are much more compact and can be tucked away after use.

But above all the main reason for investing in a small blender is that you can mix your favorite fruit smoothie or protein drink to go, and small blender mugs will also fit nicely in your cars cup holder 😉

Anyone leading a busy lifestyle should be able to appreciate the benefit of the popular Hamilton Beach Personal Blender. It’s fast, easy to use, efficient, and built to blend and run. It comes fully equipped with a travel lid which means you can literally take it off your blender and head out the door and on with your day.

For many people there’s nothing better than starting off the day with a healthy smoothie packed with powerful nutrients for energy, good health, and alertness. It’s quickly becoming the health conscious version of coffee.

For those who are dedicated to coffee however, this is the perfect way to make those frozen coffee drinks you love so much at home, take them with you, and skip the pricey coffee shop drive-thru.

Keep in mind that this small blender is not meant to replace a full service blender. It’s meant for small blending jobs like smoothies, coffee drinks, and milk shakes instead… Read Full Hamilton Beach Personal Blender Review

3) Ninja Master Prep Professional Blender, Chopper and Ice Crusher

Master Prep Professional BlenderThe Ninja Master Prep Professional Blender is also big on power. It comes with a 450-watt motor so that it has an adequate amount of power to earn its mighty, Ninja-warrior name. In addition to acting as a blender and food processor this device also has an added ice crusher combo that makes it a arguably the best small blender for smoothies.

The Ninja comes with three carafes and three sets of blades for the different jobs it’s designed to do. It does its job quickly and effectively. This is a good thing because you do have to hold the button down for the entire time you’re blending, crushing, or chopping.

The benefits to this particular blender food processor combo are many. It’s easy to operate. It’s a breeze to clean because the parts are dishwasher safe. The blade is removable (which also makes it easier than the average blender to clean). The other benefit of the removable blade is that you don’t lose half your smoothie, milkshake, or frappe to the bottom side of the blender.

The best feature about a device this powerful for many people is the fact that it’s also quiet. You’d expect something with a name like Ninja to make a little noise as it chops ice and blends fabulous smoothie drinks but it isn’t loud at all when compared to other models of similar size and strength.

But anyone who is fighting the battle over counter space will truly appreciate this small blender and its removable parts as well as the easy storage. The final feather in its cap though is the low price tag. It is one of the most cost effective models on the market and that makes it a real winner… Read Full Ninja Master Prep Professional Blender Review

How Will You Use Your Blender?

Before you buy a blender it’s a good idea to think about how often you plan to use your blender, what you plan to use your blender for, and how much space you have to store or display the blender.

Other things you might want to consider before you make your decision to buy include how easy it will be to store and retrieve your blender for frequent use or even if you might have the counter top space to leave the blender available to you whenever it is needed.

But, how do you know when you need something bigger or will the best small blender do the trick? This is the big question that may have a huge impact on your decision. Most people are looking for something to do a few fruit smoothies in the course of a week.

If you are a single person living alone a personal blender or single serving blender is absolutely the way to go. However, that doesn’t mean that you need a blender that has a small motor.

If you’re planning to chop a lot of ice for smoothies, mixed drinks, and other power intensive functions it’s a good idea to make sure you’re getting one powerhouse of a blender in order to get the job done. If you’re going with light yogurt, ice, and berry smoothies you’ll do fine with a motor that is 500 or more watts. If you’re looking for heavy duty “green” smoothies, then you’re going to want something with a little more power behind it or it will bog down and burn out much too quickly.

The more powerful the motor in your blender is the more you can expect to pay for the blender- even when you’re in the market for a small blender. People all love more power but you don’t always need it. If you aren’t going to use it there is no reason to pay extra to have it.

How Many Speeds do You Really Need?

Do you really need a tone of speeds on your blender? Again, it comes down to what you plan to use your blender for. One thing that is almost necessary for anyone interested in crushing ice is the option to pulse. If you plan to mix a lot of drinks, multiple speeds can help you make your drink at the consistency you want most.

Are there other Important Blender Features?

Whether you’re buying a large or small blender there are other things you’ll want to consider when buying a blender.

  1. Does it fit with your kitchen décor? This is especially important if you’ll be leaving the blender on the counter for easy access or due to a lack of storage space inside your cabinets. The one thing you don’t want is a blender that looks completely out of place in your kitchen. It will bother you more and more over time.
  2. What is the blender made of? An all metal drive system is ideal. Plastic pieces and parts tend to wear out and break down faster than all metal blenders. You want to make sure your blender is made of sturdy stuff and built to last.
  3. Is it dishwasher safe? You definitely want to make sure your blender is going to be easy to clean after that morning smoothie, after school milkshake, or after dinner cocktail.

There are all kinds of details to consider when searching for the best small blender for smoothies. Keep these in mind and you should have no trouble finding something of real quality.
