A Basic Healthy Vegetable Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 medium size carrot
- 2 celery sticks
- Half an orange
- Half an apple
- 1/2 inch (1 cm) ginger root
- Ice Cubes
Method
Combine the celery, carrot, apple and orange and blend until they’re liquid. Shave a little ginger directly into the veggie juice and then add ice cubes. Continue to blend until it’s all smooth.
Use additional ice if you would like a softer consistency.
Vegetable Crush Recipe
This vegetable smoothie recipe is full of great flavor and vital vitamins. Red bell peppers are an excellent source of vitamin C, and tomatoes are packed full of carotenoid lycopene, which can reduce the chances of developing prostate cancer.
Garlic contains powerful antibacterial and antiviral qualities. Celery is an excellent source of potassium and is a diuretic. You can also season to taste.
Ingredients:
- 1 large red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 large tomato, cored and chopped
- 2 stalks celery, trimmed and chopped
- 1 small clove garlic, peeled
- 6 ice cubes
- 6 fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper (optional)
Method:
Place all the ingredients into a blender (except the salt and pepper), and blend until smooth. Taste before and after seasoning, and then blend again.
