Making your own blender milkshake recipes is a great alternative to purchasing ready made shakes from the supermarket, local store or fast food joint.

Easy Blender Milkshake

When you make your own healthy blender recipes you know exactly what goes into making that drink and if you are not satisfied you can add or take away ingredients to make that perfect milkshake to suit your tastes.

Easy milkshake blender recipes are sometimes included in your blender manual but you can improve the taste by experimenting with different ingredients.

Below are the best blender milkshake recipes that I have tried, I’m actually addicted to some of them, so I hope you like them to.

Vanilla Blender Milkshake Recipe

Another favorite is the vanilla flavored milkshake and is easy to make with the blender.

You will need:

  • 3 cups of vanilla ice cream
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 2 cups of milk

Method:

Put all the ingredients into the blender and blend together until smooth and creamy then pour into a large glass and enjoy. You could add sugar if you wanted to make the milkshake sweeter or you can add a little less milk to make it thicker.

You might also add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla malt powder to give your milkshake a really malty flavor.

Banana Milkshake

You will need:

  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

Method:

Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until your milkshake is smooth. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Apricot Milkshake

Kids love milkshakes, so if you want to get them eating a little more fruit, why not introduce fruit-flavored milkshakes?

You will need:

  • 1/2 tin apricot halves with juice
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

Method:

Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until the apricot halves are pureed and milkshake is smooth and creamy. The kids will love it.

Caramel Latte Milkshake

Milkshakes aren’t just for the kids. Adults love them too. This rich, creamy caramel latte milkshake is perfect for any time of the year.

You will need:

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee
  • Caramel syrup to taste
  • Whipped cream to serve

Method:

Place milk, ice cream, coffee and caramel syrup into the blender and blend until smooth. You can add more caramel to suit your taste or add less coffee if you don’t like your milkshake so strong.

Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream. Sprinkle a small amount of drinking chocolate over the top of the cream and serve.

Frothy Cola Milkshake

This recipe is also sometimes called a ‘cola spider’. There’s something great about adding the fizz of cola to a milkshake and it only takes a minute to make.

You will need:

  • 1 cup cola
  • 2 scoops ice cream

Method:

Place ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and frothy. Serve with another small scoop of ice cream on top.

So there you have it, a really good way of making milkshakes by utilizing your kitchen blender. Milkshake recipes are not difficult to make and they taste great at any time
