A good appliance like this Breville food processor is an important feature in today’s kitchen. They are multipurpose which means doing away with many of the other electrical items found in a kitchen.

The many features available mean you now have the chance to quickly and easily make many things including mashed potatoes, slice vegetables, grate cheese and make bread and pastry dough something not all food processors can do.

When shopping around for a great food processor you should have an idea as to what you want the processor to do in the kitchen. Having any specific features or attachments comes into play too, you don’t want a food processor which won’t make homemade bread dough when you mainly use one for that purpose.

Being on a budget will also whittle down the choice of blenders available along with any preferences you may have. A Breville processor can cover the first 3 choices as they offer a range of blenders more than capable of doing what is needed in the kitchen and range in price from the budget to the more expensive models.

Antony Worrall Thompson, the prominent British chef has been commissioned by Breville to put his name to a range of food processors which are designed to be beneficial to the user in the kitchen and be affordable. The latest in a line of food processors endorsed by AWT is the intelligent food processor.
It comes with all the attachments and features you would expect in a blender from a company like Breville including a 1.5liter processing bowl, 8 intelligent preset programes and blades to aid in processing, grating and dough making. Along with a whisk attachment and a recipe book from AWT himself, this Breville food processor could be an asset in the kitchen.

At the lower end of the price scale is another processor endorsed by Antony Worrall Thompson, the FP21 Intelligent Food Processor by Breville. Reasonable priced it incorporates a 1000 watt motor and 8 intelligent programes. Attachments include whisk, citrus press and dough blade. It has a processor and blender capacity of 1.5 liters giving you the space to make those foods and dough’s in one go.

So Much to Make

When a purchase has been made you will no doubt be eager to try out the latest addition to the kitchen. Well most Breville food processors come with recipe books with some good recipes inside for you to try. There are others available online and in recipe books you might consider like this one for Pesto.

Pesto Sauce

  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Add the basil into your food processor. Process it until its chopped then add the garlic. Once mixed and chopped, add the oil gradually while the Breville food processor is running. When your ingredients are combined stop the processor and add the grated cheese. Mix again until the cheese is mixed thoroughly with the rest of the ingredients then add salt and pepper to taste. You’ll have a simple but delicious pesto sauce in no time at all.

There are so many recipes you could try with a food processor and you will never go short for ideas, just check online for more ideas and tips.

It Started With a Sandwich Maker

Breville are renowned for their sandwich maker which hit the shops way back in 1974, but since that time they haven’t sat on their laurels. Now they have their fingers spread across many consumer items including the Breville food processor for which many are endorsed by Antony Worrall Thompson.

Perhaps not the cheapest food processors on the market but with their processing power and intelligent programs they could be a favorite amongst consumers looking for a quality food processor.

Do you know where to purchase a replacement plastic insert in the bottom of the blender that connects with the base to turn the blade for blending?
